All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them
(Walt Disney)
Walt Disney once said: " All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them". Many people nowadays think the same way. They also believe that a dream can become the aim of one's life. It can lead them, guide them, and make them do great things – even change the world. But is it really so?
The first thing that needs to be said is that all the three films ("A Good Year", "Pay It Forward" and "The Pursuit of HappYness") are really successful. More than that, they are successful in both ways - economic and moral. All of them exceeded their production budget, and the grosses were quite high. But more importantly, they illustrate that a person with a strong desire to make his dream come true can actually do it.
One argument in support of this statement consists in the following:in the end, all three main characters do make their dreams come true. Max Skinner eventually returns to France and begins a new life. Chris Gardner, who was seeking happiness, becomes a multi-millionaire and is now able to provide a proper living for his son. Trevor McKinney`s idea becomes more and more popular, people start to do more favours (one of the best examples, undoubtedly, is when a lawyer gives his brand-new Jaguar to a stranger, whose car had been badly damaged).
Another argument is about the characters` wishes and the steps they took. It is clear that all the three (two men and a boy) did their best on their way. Chris devoted all his time and energy to selling densitometers and finding other ways to make ends meet. Trevor wants to make the world better so much, that he helps a homeless junkie, and stands up for his friend, though he dies for it. Max is a bit different from the others. Before his uncle’s death, he did not have any dreams at all. He just wanted to
